Hair Wrap FAQ

Hair wraps are a unisex hair accessory that involves decorating the hair with different threads, creating beautiful color combinations and patterns in the hair.

Classic hair wraps are made by braiding a small section of hair which is then fully wrapped from root to tip with colorful yarns to form unique designs.

Criss-cross hair wraps are made by wrapping the hair in the woven criss-cross pattern from root to tip, partially exposing the braid within as opposed to a full wrapping.

These traditional hair wrapping methods are semi-permanent, they can last for weeks to months with proper care. To remove, carefully cut and unravel the threads from the hair.

Our temporary hair wrap extensions are the perfect alternative to traditional hair wrapping. They are extensions ready made solely with yarn, with a loop attached for easy installation and removal.

Extensions offer the stylish look of hair wraps and the flexibility of wearing them as and when you like. They are reusable and exceptionally durable.

Our extensions feature a loop at the top for easy wear.

First, take a small section of hair and divide into 3 strands. Thread the loop through one of the  strands and slide it all the way up to the root. Then, start braiding using only the 3 strands of hair, ensuring that the extension stays at the root. Braid to desired length and secure the end of the braid with elastic bands. To remove, simply undo the braid.

For dreadlocks, simply slide the loop through the dreadlock up to the root. Optionally, use elastic bands to secure the loop in place.

Certainly! All our hair wrap options are suitable for all hair types, including dreadlocks.

Yes, it's perfectly fine to get your hair wraps wet. Just ensure they dry thoroughly to prevent odours.

Keep them clean, dry, away from hair products, and avoid getting them tangled when brushing the rest of your hair.

Traditional hair wraps can last from weeks to years with proper care, while hair wrap extensions are highly durable and can last for many years.
Hair wraps don't damage hair; in fact, they can serve as a protective style. However, if left in for too long, the braids may cause scalp irritation, hair breakage, and matting. It's recommended to remove them before issues arise, even if your hair wrap may still appear to be in good condition.
