Suwarsa Days
Suwarsa Days is an independent arts and music festival in Johor, blending live performances, camping, workshops, and visual projections. We were trusted with the design and full decor setup of the festival's main stage and surrounding area. The existing stage backdrop was framed with freeform stretch fabric pieces for depth, crowned by a large hand-painted canopy of colourful, organic patterns arranged in a symmetrical grid. By night, the stage elements complemented the live liquid projection shows by Mudlayar, whose visual projections brought movement and colour to the setup, while the canopy came alive with the slow, colour-shifting lighting we installed. Around the event grounds, we added textured cut-out stretch fabric decor and hanging sculptural 3D fabric forms — built by stretching fabric over branching wooden frames. Scattered through the surrounding palm plantation, the bold, suspended pieces created moments of discovery as people wandered the site. The whole installation was designed to move with the same expressive, artistic spirit of the festival itself.
